New Common!

One of my favorite old school rappers, Common, is releasing his 8th album, Universal Mind Control, on December 9, 2008. Besides Kanyes' album, this was another album ive been waiting impatiently for. I Heard a couple tracks and Common takes a different approach to his fans. Instead of the usual concious hip hop by Common, this album seems to have more of a "fun" and "party" vibe. The tracks I heard are pretty good, what do you think? :

Now here's someone I could listen to all day. Joshua Radin is an American singer/songwriter from Shaker Heights, Ohio. He was signed to Columbia Records, but is now signed Mom & Pop records. His folk rock and acoustic music has been heard all over. You've probably heard him just by watching your usual prime time shows. Everywhere from American Idol, Grey's Anatomy, One Tree Hill, Scrubs, to movies like The Last Kiss and Catch and Release. Radin's albums include, We Were Here, released in 2006. As well as his latest, Simple Times, which was released this year. Here are a few of my personal favorites just for you. =D

MEiKO

Meiko is an American indie singer/songwriter from Roberta, Georgia. She independently released her self-titled album in September of last year. Her album became iTunes' number one Folk album for over a month. Many of her tracks have been featured in prime time TV shows such as Grey's Anatomy on ABC; that's where I discovered her=).
